On 20 August 2007, we will host a celebrity golf tournament at Fort Carson, Colorado, an Army installation adjacent to Colorado Springs, to benefit our wounded warriors – Active, Guard and Reserve – as well as our veterans and retirees.
Our goal is to enhance our Soldiers’ quality of life and physical rehabilitation, as well as provide some return to normalcy, by purchasing six adaptive golf carts to allow them to continue to enjoy the great game of golf. These golf carts will allow the player full access to all areas of the golf course to include greens and bunkers without the player having to leave the cart. In fact, these carts will allow a player that is not able to walk to swing the club and use the cart as his base. With your help, we can purchase these specialized carts, at a cost of $7800.00 each, and have them in operation before the end of our golf season.
We hope that you can join us as a celebrity on a team with our sponsors and a Soldier who has deployed to either Iraq or Afghanistan. In addition to supporting a great cause, you will attend a VIP cocktail party on August 19th and will receive a complimentary lunch during the tournament. Your presence will not only lend excitement to our event, but will also give us a chance to thank you for your continued support of our military.
If you are not a golfer or cannot attend the event, but would like to purchase a cart
